[Reservation] Car Rental Conditions, Process, and Discounts for Foreigners in Taiwan

1.Foreign Nationals: Passport + Valid International Driving Permit (IDP) + Original Driver's License + Credit Card + Visa, Residence Permit, or Entry/Exit Permit.
2.Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau Residents: Mainland China Passport + Valid Hong Kong Driver's License or International Driving Permit (IDP) + Credit Card + Visa, Residence Permit, Entry/Exit Permit, or Entry Permit to Taiwan.
3.Deposit: Credit card authorization of NT$10,000 (Visa or Mastercard only). The deposit will be refunded approximately within 28-45 working days once the vehicle is successfully returned.
4.Mileage cap for passenger vehicles: The daily mileage cap for passenger vehicles is 400 km. For hourly rentals the cap is 40km per hour. Excess mileage will be charged at NT$2 per km.
5.Mileage cap for cargo vehicles: The daily mileage cap for cargo vehicles is 400 km. For hourly rentals the cap is 40km per hour. Excess mileage will be charged at NT$3 per km.
6.Fuel charges: Pickup with a full tank, return with a full tank. If the vehicle was dispensed full with gas/charge, please also return full on gas/charge. If not returned completely fueled, partial refueling fees and a handling fee will apply.
Notes
1.The quote includes "Basic Insurance" coverage.
2.Comprehensive Insurance (optional upgrade): Comprehensive coverage.
3.A 30% deposit of the total rental fee is required for online car reservation.
4.The rental agreement requires providing credit card information for future deductions such as traffic fines and parking fees.
5.The "discounted price" is applicable only on weekdays, Monday to Thursday. All other days are considered weekends/holidays.
6.The quote does not include fuel costs, parking fees, tolls (ETC), and traffic fines.
7.Additional fees apply for the "rent from one location, return to another" and airport pickup/drop-off services.
