Fuel Usage
The lessee must use fuel that meets the vehicle's requirements. If abnormal conditions or malfunctions occur due to improper or poor-quality fuel, the lessee must compensate the lessor for vehicle repairs and business losses.
Legal Use
The lessee must use the vehicle legally and is prohibited from overloading, transporting contraband, hazardous materials, or items that can damage the vehicle. Small pets must be carried in a pet carrier.
The vehicle cannot be rented for business purposes or used as a training car without the lessor's consent and registration. The lessee must not allow a third party to drive the rented vehicle without approval.
(If these terms are violated, the lessor has the right to unilaterally terminate the contract and request the lessee to compensate for any damages caused by improper use. In severe cases, the lessor may ask the lessee to purchase the vehicle at market price.)
Document Carrying
During the rental period, the lessee must carry their driver's license, compulsory automobile liability insurance certificate, car rental agreement, and vehicle registration for inspection. Any fines incurred during the rental period must be paid by the lessee. If the lessor pays on behalf of the lessee, the lessee must reimburse the lessor. All parking fees, tolls, and other expenses during the rental period are the lessee's responsibility. The lessee is responsible for any costs incurred if the vehicle's license plate or registration is confiscated. (The lessor reserves the right to transfer the liability to the driver.)
Vehicle Maintenance
The lessee must take good care of the vehicle. Selling, pledging, or pawning the vehicle is prohibited. If the vehicle is involved in an accident or damaged, the lessee must report it to the police and notify the lessor, following instructions to have the vehicle evaluated and repaired at an authorized service center.
Accident Handling
If the vehicle is involved in an accident or damaged, the lessee must report it to the police and notify the lessor for evaluation and repair at an authorized service center. The lessee is responsible for any towing fees, repair costs, rental fees during the repair period, and depreciation costs if the damage is due to the lessee's fault.
If the vehicle is severely damaged and cannot be repaired, the lessee must compensate the lessor at market value.
Rental calculation: For rentals up to 10 days, 70% of the daily rental rate; 11-15 days, 60% of the daily rental rate; over 16 days, 50% of the daily rental rate. The calculation period is limited to 20 days.
Depreciation fee: Calculated at 20% of the repair cost. For external repairs, the lessor may request the vehicle to be repaired at the original manufacturer’s service center. If the vehicle's structure is damaged by more than 20%, the lessee must compensate the lessor at market value. (Daily rental is calculated at the original price, and no discounts apply.) If a tire is damaged, both tires must be replaced to ensure safety (including alignment). The lessor reserves the right to determine the repair date and designated repair shop.
Insurance
The vehicle is insured with compulsory insurance. If the lessee causes an accident while using the vehicle according to the contract, the maximum compensation for third-party death or injury is NT$2 million per accident. If the lessee's negligence causes damages exceeding the insurance coverage (including but not limited to property loss, mental, and work losses), the lessee must bear the costs. Additional insurance can be arranged by notifying the lessor and paying the required premium at the time of rental.
